Daytona's beaches are famously wide — at low tide the hard-packed sand stretches so far that even a summer Saturday can feel like a private shoot. That space is a gift for family sessions: kids can run, dresses can blow, and we can work with the horizon in every direction.
Sunrise is the move here. The beach faces due east, so morning sessions get the sun coming straight off the Atlantic — pinks and golds on the water, empty sand, and cooler air that keeps kids (and expecting moms) comfortable. It's our favorite setting for maternity sessions anywhere on the coast.
Beyond the sand, Daytona has more texture than its spring-break reputation suggests: the boardwalk's vintage signage, the Ponce Inlet lighthouse and jetty just south, and quiet dune walkovers that frame a couple perfectly. For weddings, oceanfront resorts and small beach ceremonies are our sweet spot.
