Your Beach Maternity Session, Start to Finish
The most common maternity question we get isn't about outfits — it's "what actually happens?" So here's the whole thing, start to finish, no mystery.
It starts with the calendar. The sweet spot for maternity photos is usually 28 to 34 weeks — beautifully, unmistakably round, and still comfortable enough to walk the sand. When you book, we'll look at your due date together and pick a week, with a built-in weather backup because, well, Florida.
Then comes the fun part: the gown. Flowing maternity gowns were invented for beaches — they move with the sea breeze and photograph like a dream. Our maternity style guide links our favorites in the colors that sing against sand and water: dusty blue, sage, cream, mauve. Order two; return one. Everyone does it.
Session morning, we meet on the sand about 30 minutes after sunrise — cool air, empty beach, and the softest light of the entire day. The session itself is a slow walk: some frames of you solo, some of you both, plenty of the small unposed moments in between. An hour later you're done and headed to breakfast, and within 72 hours a sneak peek lands in your inbox.
One honest note: the sunrise alarm is real, and every single client has told us it was worth it. Empty beach, pink sky, and a season of your life that deserves more than a mirror selfie.
